Communication is one of the major factor that brought humans together, without which human would have never reached this far. In 21st century its just seconds to reach any person and share information. Radio communication covers major part in world’s communication and need for faster communication is still a big hunger and it is increasing every day. Recent experiments by NASA and ESA shows the potential opportunities for high speed, less time and long-distance communications can be carried out using laser. Laser communication between satellites in deep space and between earth stations and satellites orbiting helps in higher uplink and downlink of data. One of the best experiments carried out by NASA to demonstrate the use of laser communication is LADEE lunar mission. LADEE spacecraft’s Lunar Laser Communication Demonstration (LLCD) on October 2013 to April 2014, between earth station and spacecraft positioned in moon’s orbit able to achieve 622Mbps downlink and 20Mbps uplink transmission, which is much higher than regular Radio frequency communication. The recent NASA explorations in laser communication between ground station to satellite is ground breaking achievement, in their experiments Laser Communications Relay Demonstration(LCRD) and TeraByte InfraRed Delivery(TBRID) they have claimed that through this technology they have achieved the speed up to 200Gbps. Ever since first satellite’s laser communication by European Space Agency (ESA) to up-coming Nasa’s TBRID mission lot of researches going on and many private organizations experimenting to improvise the communication over laser, this includes technology giants SpaceX and Amazon, hoping for this technology will revolutionize the near future mode of communication in speed, time and size.
